Seoraksan in Korea

Seoraksan is the highest mountain in the Taebaek Mountain Range in Gangwon Province, South Korea. It is the third highest mountain in South Korea, after the Hallasan and the Jirisan.

I visited there last summer for the first time with my family, and I was so stunned by its enormity and beauty.

The huge mountain was covered by lots of big and green trees and the air aroung the mountain was so fresh. Next to the continuous green line with trees, the long and clear stream flows down all the way from the top to the bottom of the mountain.

As a person living in a big city, I felt so free and refreshed out of a crowded and polluted place.

Playing in the cool mountain stream was also so much fun.

On the bottom of the mountain, there was a restaurant selling Korean style pizzas -Boo-chim-gae and Pa-jun - and Bibimbab(rice with different kinds of wild herbs) and all of them were so delicious.

I really loved Seoraksan because it was the place that satisfied my tastes and eyes.

New Orleans, Louisiana

I went to New Orleans to join Habitat for Humanity program for May program of my school last year(May, 2009).

I did know much about New Orleans or have interest in itself as a place to tour because my goal of the trip was just helping building a house for people who lost their houses by hurricane Katrina.

Yes, the only thing I knew about New Orleans was that it was the area where hurricane Katrina hit the most in 2007 and destroyed almost everything.

Even though it was two years after the hurricane when I visited NO, I could still many places to be restored. However, New Orleans was a beautiful place with lots of things to enjoy. For example, French Quarter, located in NO, has a lot of shopping places in beautiful but unique buildings and you can swamp tour on a boat and can actually experience the ecosystem of New Orleans very closely. Also, Craw fish is a specialty of the region which everyone should try if he/she visits there. Visiting a jazz cafe at night also allows tourists to experience the real Jazz started from New Orleans.

I had a meaningful time in New Orleans as builing a house for people in need, but I also had a fantastic time there as touring the city. I really hope to visit there with my family again.

THE BEUTIFUL JEJU ISLAND

The Jeju Island is one of the most beautiful islands in Korea.
I already visited there around three times, but I am planning to go there again this summer
because there are countless things to see, eat and enjoy there.

The Jeju island is located in the very south of Korea,
so the weather is very warm but very windy.

The Jeju island is called a place that has plenty of three things -Rocks, women, and wind-
and a place that lacks three things- beggars, theives, and front door.
Affected by Han-ra mountaint in the middle of the island, which is second highest mountain in Korea, rocks are easily seen in the Jeju and since most men were fishers and they often died in the sea while fishing, there were more women than men in the Jeju island. Also, since the island is surrounded by the sea, it is very windy on the island as I mentioned.
The Jeju island is famous for the close relationships among neighbors.
People trust each other and they are very generous to their neighbors, so the Jeju island was known as the place with no beggars, theives, and front door.

Now, the Jeju island is changed to be a 'tour' island, but it is still beutiful ~!!!

Everyone should visit the Jeju island if you visit Korea~!!!

Orlando in Florida

The first place I want to introduce as a great place to travel is Orlando in Florida.

I visited there during last spring break with my friends and stayed there for 4 days.

Our main purpose of the trip was to visit all the huge amusement parks in Orlando because we all were big fan of the rides.

We went to Disney world, Adventure island, and Universal Studio
and had so much fun.

4 days were too short to enjoy everything in Orlando,

but we had such a good time there.

Nice weather, palm trees, exciting amusement parks, great food....

The things I would never forget...

I really want to go back to Orlando and experience and enjoy

more about the place ~♡

Just Hop on the Road!!

When you're down and lost,
or when you feel stuck,
or when you're unbearably stressed out,
or even when you just need a change in your life,

Traveling is the best way to refresh yourself.

Don't be afraid
Just hop on the road! :)

I love to travel and I have been to some exciting places in the world.
Florida, Washington D.C., L.A., San Francisco, New York, New Orleans in the U.S.,
China, and many places in my home country in Asia,
Austria, Czech Republic in Europe, and so on, so on.

I can't pick one favorite place among these
because every single place was unique and exciting. ^-^
Whenever I visit different places, I feel like I am in a whole different world:
different people, different food, different music, different buildings, and different cultures...
Experiecing the differences in the world opens my eyes
not only to look at the world in a more mature way by accepting diversity,
but also to think about myself more by being at a kind of isolated place which is not my home.

Therefore, traveling all around the world is the most exciting and meaniful thing to do
and it has been my dream forever~!! :D
